Vernon Smith
Vernon Smith has drawn a bunch of comics and children’s books for a whole lot of different companies! From self-published graphic novels through Diamond Distributors (“The Adventures Of Dexter Breakfast” volumes 1 & 2, ” Return Of The Lovin’ Dead”) to Kickstarter horror graphic novels (“HiDE”) as well as children’s books through Pelican Publishing (“The Littlest Streetcar” “When The Morning Comes” “The King Cake Baby” just to name a few) and creator-owned comics from independent comic publishers like Action Lab (“Bigfoot Frankenstein”) and Scout Comics (“HorrorLand!”).
In 2022 he began working with IDW Publishing on such titles as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Trek, illustrating for such milestone books as TMNT Halloween Special and Star Trek issue #500. And that’s just the beginning! He has more work in development with IDW that will be announced soon and will be coming out later in 2026. He has also provided Star Trek art for Creation Entertainment’s Star Trek conventions in Dallas and San Francisco and plans to continue for their Las Vegas show. As a lifelong Trekkie, these jobs are definitely a dream come true!
