Gaming 101 - There will be introductory sessions to different games, such as Warhammer and Munchkin, for anyone interested in learning to play. And, as always, there will be OPEN GAMING SPACE for those who just want to play their own games. If you are a gamer planning on running an open game or tournament at CC32, please fill out the following form.




 

 

                                  ANNOUNCED TOURNAMENTS

 

COAST CON 32 FOG TOURNAMENT

800 Points
5 Games (3 Highest Scores from Friday and Saturday + Sunday)
2 Lists
Any Armies from Books with US Release Prior to Feb 1st, 2009
Lists must be submitted by March 7th, 2009 Ref TBD
3.5 hours plus Random Time (Finishing current Phase)

Players will have the option of playing 1 game on Friday Night and 3
Games Saturday.
If 5 games are played the player's Highest 3 scores plus Sunday
Morning's Score will be used for determination of final score.

First Count Back will be Head to Head
Second Count back will be total combined final score of opponents
played.
Third Count back (if needed) will be Generals Killed and Camps
Sacked.

I will need a list of players planning to play on Friday so that
match ups can be planned.
First Round Match ups will pit out-of-towners. Subsequent rounds
will be strictly based on score pairing eliminating re-matches.

Being fairly centrally located for Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and
Georgia It would be great to make this a large tournament for
consideration of Grand Slam Status in 2010.

A WEEKEND OF WARHAMMER

Friday Night open Warhammer Gaming until 8 p.m. 

Following the open gaming, there will be an Apocolypse game

 

Saturday  2000 point Warhammer 40K tournament.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the first shots fired at 10 a.m.

Tournament times subject to change to meet player demand!

The new format, known as the Standard format, creates a more dynamic metagame and gives newer players better access to tournament game play. The Standard format uses all miniatures from the two most recent calendar years, plus the All-Star set of miniatures selected from earlier sets once released.

The current format, allowing miniatures from any expansion that has received its official update, remains a significant part of tournament play and will now be called vintage.

All Printed final cards are legal for standard tournaments along with purchased boosters and starter cards for D&D Battles 2.0.

Camp followers must be represented on camp or it is considered empty

Living Forgotten Realms / RPGA at CoastCon 32

 

The RPGA is an official network that promotes play of Wizards of the Coast roleplaying games, heavily focused on D&D®.

Living Forgotten Realms (or LFR for short) is the new regionalized RPGA Living campaign, and the first to utilize the new 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules.

Players create characters and assign them to a specific region set in the FORGOTTEN REALMS®.

Characters can be played in any LFR adventure that supports their levels of play, anywhere.

All LFR adventures will be available for play no matter where you live in the world.

As your character plays adventures, it earns experience points, gold, and magic items which stay with you from game to game.

There are dozens of unique adventures each year!

It is based of the old style comedy of the Three Stoogies.

Fun, mayhem, and nothing but laughs. This is a 2 - 4 hour game.

Worlds of Honor Demonstration (soon to be released by Ad Astra Games)

"A Routine Customs Inspection in Silesia".

Her Majesty's Starship Valkyrie intercepts a suspicious merchantment

in Silesia and sends over a pinnace to inspect their papers and cargo.

Everything will be provided.

A maximum of 8 players may participate.

Four to six hours.

Birds of Prey Demonstration (air combat game)

 

Birds of Prey is the the most realistic aircraft dogfighting board game in existence,

taking into account altitude, airspeed, drag, angle of bank and pitch,

and realistic bearings.

This will be an introductory scenario familiarizing players with the

game's unique and ground-breaking concepts.

All materials will be provided.

Two to four hours.

Bring your friends and join in the fun as we celebrate the release of the Player’s Handbook 2,

packed with new options for your Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition game.

Come try out the new races (such as the gnome) and the new classes (like the invoker and barbarian)

while you battle wicked fiends and thwart dark plots. No matter if you’re new to the game or

a 4th Edition veteran; we’ll have everything you need to embark on an all-new adventure!

To satisfy your curiosity, here’s a quick description of the adventure!

One Dark Night in Weeping Briar – A stormy night, an empty town, and a small girl that holds the key to the strange disappearances.
