In the Art
Room,
artists
display
and
sell
their
original
artwork
whose
subject
is science
fiction,
fantasy or fannish.
Items receive
written
bids, then are
auctioned
in the voice
Art
Auction on
Sunday.
There is also a
Print
Table for
prints
and multiple copy
items.
Come
see
the
art,
meet your favorite
artists,
attend
art-related
panels, and
buy something
you
like!

accepts
art in any
medium;
we only request
that the
art reflect the
science
fiction/fact,
fantasy, and
media
themes of
our
convention.

does it cost to show

art? A.
The
Art Show
Fees
are:
$15
for
4x4
panel, max of 2 panels
per artist $40
for
"Bays"
(3 panels in a
U
formation),
max of 1
Bay
per
artist $10 full
table
(2x5) $6
half
table (2x2) $20
combo
of 1 panel and 1
table,
limit of 2 per
artist
Q.
What
are
the
deadlines for
sending
in my paperwork, fees and
artwork? A.
We would
appreciate
it if you
would
respond
ASAP so that
we
include
you here on our
website
and in our
programming
book. The
priority
deadline for
sending
in a small bio and
a
picture
(of
yourself
or
of your art) is
Feburary
20,
2009 The
deadline
for
sending
in
completed
paperwork and
fees is
March
2,
2009. The
artwork
must
arrive
March
13,2009.
Q.
How
does
the bidding and the
auction
work? A.
Each
piece
of
art
for sale will have a
bidding
sheet
attatched to
it the whole
time it is on
display.
If
you
want to bid on it, you can
put
your
Badge
number or name on
the
sheet,
along with
your
minimum bid. At the start
of the auction
the
highest
bid listed
on the bidding
sheet
will be the
starting
price for the
voice
auction.
Q.
Will
there
be a place where I
can buy
prints of the
art
displayed? A.
If
the
artist
has prints
available, they
will be sold
at the Prints
Table.
Q.
What
if my
art doesn't
sell? A.
Each
artist
has the
option (on the
Control
Sheet, in the
Artist
Packet)
to choose to
"clear" their
unsold art at
a Minimum
Bid auction
after the main
Art Auction
is finished.
The price the
artist
originally
listed
as a minimim price will be
the
starting
bid.
